We are on the old Boulevard Bonnard, name of a famous french Admiral-governor (about 1864 I think but I have to search). On your right side stands the "Pharmacie Solirène".
Before in the beginning of the XX th century, it was at the same place the "Café de la Musique" and more recently it was the Givral Café (but I m not sure). On the other side of the main street (Catinat street) is the Continental Hotel.
On the little garden was standing Francis Garnier statue (member of the Mekong exploration in 1866-1868 and killed in Hanoï in 1873). -- M. Pinet
