Everyone in Vietnam listened to the Armed Forces Vietnam Network -- 540 on the AM dial, 99 on the FM dial.
Here are some sound clips from AFVN that will be familiar to all of you who were there.

extract it to a directory of your choice and then you can listen to your heart's content. (Note: It's a huge file, 112 MB, so give it
some time to download.)
A couple of things: (1) All of these sounds are in the popular .mp3 format, so your computer should be able to decode them.
(2) PSA = Public Service Announcement; we didn't have commercials, so they filled up the air time with these.
